This way, the best moments and the smallest details can be captured for eternity on XXL posters, as well as in photos.
Re-Size/Trimming
Custom-made: With Re-Size/Trimming you can change the size of the picture already in the camera and sections of a picture can be saved as its own shot. In this way, you can for example cut out only the face of a person and have it printed as a photo without using a computer or complicated software.
EXILIM Engine 2.0
Works quickly and provides great recording quality: the new EXILIM Engine 2.0. The extremely powerful image processor combines
multiple components in a compact space, offering sufficient capacity for such features as the Auto Tracking AF function, hue adjustment to optimise dark areas, targeted noise elimination in critical colour areas and quick image processing. And the new EXILIM Engine 2.0 also ensures quick reaction times and long battery operating times – and all of this naturally with very low energy consumption.
Super Life Battery
Extreme Power: Empty batteries are history. Thanks to new technologies, the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z1050 uses much less energy, but at the same time have the extremely powerful Super Life Battery. With so much power, the camera is ready for use at that decisive moment and takes up to 370 shots non-stop. (as per CIPA Standard)
Non Deterioration Zoom
A real innovation ensures that the compact EX-Z1050 can provide a zoom of up to 17.1x. Enjoy entirely new possibilities in pocket format!
And this is how it works:
The 10.1 megapixel resolution makes it possible to use an innovative method: a small area at the edge of the CCD chip is “switched off”. The picture in the middle of the chip is now enlarged. This turns the 3x optical zoom into a 4.3x equivalent zoom – and the resolution remains at its high level of 5 megapixels. With a VGA resolution, you can even obtain a zoom factor of 17.1 – to get even closer to the action.
Continuous zoom shooting
Everything in view: With this function you get two photos at the same time when you press the shutter release once – one complete image and a selected detail. The divided display not only enables you to view both images, but also the practical illustration makes it easier for you to select the detail of the image you require. The quality of this detail depends on the resolution which was preset.
Very bright 6.6 cm (2.6-inch) Wide Screen TFT colour display
New perspectives: the EX-Z1050 is equipped with an ultra-bright and wide 6.6 cm (2.6-inch) Wide Screen TFT colour display. With approx. 1000 cd/m²* the display also features above-average brightness, allowing the user to clearly view every subject, no matter how bright the sunlight. And to ensure that you have the best view in any situation, you can adjust the luminosity intensity as you wish to suit the individual lighting conditions. There are five default settings available for this purpose: 0/+1/+2/AUTO 1/AUTO 2
* Max. brightness: Measurement in the centre of the TFT colour display
Multiple Image Display
Searching made easy: Multiple image display shows 12 smaller-sized photos on the display simultaneously and thus gives you an ideal overview of your pictures.
Highspeed Image Scrolling
Are you looking for something? With the Highspeed Image Scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.
Operation Panel
The arrangement of the operation panel on the display is particularly clear and enables the user to move quickly between the various adjustment features.
Photo Formats
The free choice of photo formats is an absolute highlight: you can choose between a 3:2, 4:3 and 16:9 format. That is particularly practical if you will be showing your pictures on a screen, television or video projector with this format. The 3:2 format is the classic format for photos. With the aid of the 4:3 format you can admire your photos on the TV or on your PC. The 16:9 format is best suited to plasma and LCD-televisions.
Picture rotating
Getting the right angle: Pictures taken in a portrait format can be manually rotated for playback in landscape format. Now you don’t have to turn the camera or your head in order to look at the picture.
