The K20D is a fully-featured semi-pro DSLR available for the cost of some of the latest, upper-entry-level digital cameras. It adds a handful of features and tweaks to the highly-respected K10D and attempts to address some of its shortcomings whilst also incorporating a colossal 14.6 million photosites on a sensor co-developed with Samsung. The E-420 was launched exactly one year after its predecessor, the E-410, and comes with only a relatively small number of modifications such a larger screen, contrast detect auto focus in live view and the Auto Gradation feature that we’ve first seen on the E3. While we’re waiting for complete review for Canon 450D (Rebel XSi), we can visit dpreview for samples images. Few days ago they received a production version and they decided to present sample images. After experimenting with couple lenses and ISO settings during disappointing weather conditions, they uploaded few images so we can preview them in full res. Link -> HERE.

Images inside the digital cameras can be placed on the memory cards or sometimes we can use internal memory. Usually internal memory is available only for testing purposes so you won’t have enough space to save all your images. So the memory card is a must have (Read the article)

Sony Corporation announced the development of a 35mm full size (diagonal:43.3mm/Type 2.7) 24.81 effective megapixel, ultra-high speed high image quality CMOS image sensor designed to meet the increasing requirement for rapid image capture and advanced picture quality within digital SLR cameras. In next couple days (24.1.2008.), Pentax will announce their new models K20D and K200D. According to rumors, K20D will have next specifications:

• Pentax Proprietary 14MP CMOS Sensor (their own image sensor made together with Samsung)
• 14 bit RAW A/D Processor
• 3″ Live View LCD
• Improved In-Body Shake Reduction
• Body Design Similar to K10D (larger display, live view, etc)
• Significant Custom Functions (including AF trimming/programming for different lenses)
