Olympus Studio 2.0
Olympus has today (18.7.2007.) announced the release of the Olympus Studio 2.0 software. With new Olympus Studio 2.0 you will get enhances functionality and advanced image management. A trial-version of the software will be bundled with all new Olympus E-System cameras, and the full version is available for download from Olympus web site.
OLYMPUS Studio 2 supports professional photographers and engaged amateurs to get perfect results out of the images within a minimum of time. The software provides various functions and powerful tools to assist your work flow, such as examining and selecting the best shot from a large number of images, searching for a desired image from folders and albums, editing and processing images you have shot, printing pictures, etc.

PC-Control of the Camera
If the camera is connected to the PC, it can be controlled from the computer and the recorded images are stored directly onto the hard drive.
Virtual Light Box
The virtual light box works in almost exactly the same way as a standard light box for checking film. Images can be checked and selected on the PC so you can easily put together groups of images for further processing. By enabling you to quickly identify the handful of images you want from hundreds of pictures, it saves you precious time.
Easy Image Editing
Many edit functions can solve most of the upcoming demands to edit an image within the software. This includes tone curve or color corrections, distortion corrections, red-eye removal and much more.
Automatic tone adjustment
Automatic adjustment of tone curves in individual image sections so that tone gradation appears natural even in parts darkened by back lighting or shadowed by excessive front lighting.
The improved RAW- development process allows to create the perfect image from your shot as RAW.
Batch Processing
This can carry out a list of editing procedures on a whole group of images at the same time. For example, distortion can be corrected or a color filter applied on more than one file at a time. The general image enhancement of all shots from a shooting session can be carried out quickly.
Or if you find a perfect setting to process your RAW-image, you can store this and later apply this to the whole photo session.
Intuitive Browse and Archive
OLYMPUS Studio 2 offers various ways to get organized with your images including a backup - function to CD / DVD.
