About month ago, I became a Samsung D900 owner. After 30 days, I cannot say that I’m not satisfied with it, but also I can’t say that I am. First you should know that I am an ex Nokia 3310 owner so I like simple things. Simple and clean menu on Nokia 3310 was good enough for me, but I must confess that simple things are not popular any more. Well I like technology but not BUGS.

Before I start with my small review, I must say the biggest problem for this phone. It is autonomy! First battery charge will last maximum one or two days. Small capacity is not so good feature so you need to bring charger wherever you go. My idea for solving this problem is to turn off screen after 15 seconds (it is minimum). You can set this in Settings – Light settings – Backlight time. Also good idea is to turn off DIM. You can set Keypad light only during night (by default it is from 17:00 until 9:00) or if you do not like this, you can set your own time.
Another thing that disappointed me is Samsung PC studio software. It doesn’t work. I can’t transfer files bigger then 100kB. I can upload items to phone but I cannot download them to my PC. You will probably expect some photos here in this review but sorry… I can’t download them to my PC. You can read about this problem on Google if you like. Just search about “CM_ERROR_READFILE”. Unfortunately, nobody knows how to solve this problem. Maybe it is firmware problem, or Samsung PC studio is crap (oh, yes it is)… I don’t know…

Phone is cool and it fits nice in average hand. Slider works fine and black thin body looks excellent. Complete phone case is made from plastic. Phone supports almost all modern things.
